What is this medication? BASAGLAR KwikPen and BASAGLAR Tempo Pen contain insulin glargine, which is a long-acting basal insulin used to manage blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. It is approved for use in adults and children with type 1 diabetes, as well as adults with type 2 diabetes. This medication helps maintain stable glucose levels over a 24-hour period by slowly releasing insulin into the bloodstream after injection, effectively mimicking the body's natural baseline insulin production.

The medication is delivered through a prefilled, disposable pen device that allows for precise dosing through an injection under the skin.
