About Dextroamphetamine Saccharate, Amphetamine Aspartate, Dextroamphetamine Sulfate, Amphetamine Sulfate Tablets,CII

What is this medication? This medication is a combination of four different salts of amphetamine that functions as a central nervous system stimulant. It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly referred to as ADHD, in both children and adults. By increasing the levels of certain natural chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine and norepinephrine, the drug helps to improve focus, concentration, and impulse control while reducing hyperactivity and distractibility in patients.

In addition to managing ADHD symptoms, these tablets are also indicated for the treatment of narcolepsy, which is a chronic sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep. Because this medication has a high potential for misuse and may lead to physical or psychological dependence, it is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance. It should only be used under the strict supervision of a healthcare provider and according to the specific dosage instructions provided to the patient to ensure safety and effectiveness.
