About Dulcamara

What is this medication? Dulcamara is a homeopathic remedy derived from the bittersweet nightshade plant, Solanum dulcamara. It is most often prescribed to address ailments that are triggered or worsened by exposure to cold, damp environments or sudden changes in weather. Practitioners frequently use it to treat respiratory symptoms such as congestion, coughs, and sore throats that arise after a person has been chilled or caught in the rain.

In addition to respiratory support, dulcamara is commonly used for skin conditions like hives, eczema, and large, smooth warts. It is also indicated for the relief of joint and muscle pain associated with rheumatism, especially when the stiffness increases during damp seasons. This medication is typically administered in the form of small pellets or liquid drops designed to help the body manage these specific environmental sensitivities.
