About Multi-Vitamin with Fluoride

What is this medication? Multi-Vitamin with Fluoride is a prescription dietary supplement designed primarily for infants and children to ensure they receive essential nutrients for healthy growth. This medication combines a variety of important vitamins with the mineral fluoride to fill nutritional gaps that may exist in a child's daily diet. Healthcare providers typically prescribe this supplement for children living in areas where the local drinking water does not contain an adequate amount of natural or added fluoride. The primary purpose of adding fluoride to this multivitamin is to help prevent tooth decay and promote the development of strong teeth. Fluoride works by strengthening the tooth enamel, which makes the teeth more resistant to the acids and bacteria that cause cavities. By providing these supplements during the critical years when teeth are forming, the medication supports both overall physical health and long-term dental hygiene.
