About PCXX NEUTRAL RNS PEPPERMINT
What is this medication? PCXX Neutral RNS Peppermint is a prescription-strength dental rinse containing neutral sodium fluoride. It is primarily used to prevent tooth decay and help strengthen tooth enamel in individuals who are at a high risk for developing cavities. The peppermint-flavored solution works by remineralizing areas of the teeth that have been weakened by acid, making the tooth surface more resistant to the bacteria that cause dental caries.
This medication is often prescribed for patients who have orthodontic appliances, dental crowns, or bridges, as well as those suffering from chronic dry mouth. Because it has a neutral pH, it is safe for use on various dental restorations that might be damaged by more acidic fluoride treatments. It is typically used once a day after brushing, where the patient swishes the liquid in their mouth for a designated amount of time before spitting it out.
