About PCXX VANILLA ORANGE NEUTRAL GL

What is this medication? PCXX Vanilla Orange Neutral Gel is a prescription fluoride treatment designed for professional dental use to assist in the prevention of dental caries. It contains neutral sodium fluoride, which makes it particularly suitable for patients with porcelain or composite restorations that might be damaged by more acidic fluoride options. By applying this gel, dental providers can help strengthen a patient's tooth enamel and provide a protective barrier against the acids produced by oral bacteria. This medication is often recommended for individuals who are at an increased risk for developing cavities due to conditions like dry mouth or extensive dental work. The neutral pH of the gel ensures that it is gentle on sensitive oral tissues and restorative materials while still delivering an effective dose of fluoride. The vanilla orange flavor is included to improve the patient experience during the application, which typically involves the gel being placed in a dental tray and held against the teeth for a specific period.
