About PNV-Omega

What is this medication? PNV-Omega is a prescription prenatal multivitamin and mineral supplement that includes omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA and EPA. It is primarily used to provide essential nutrients to women throughout the different stages of pregnancy, including the period before conception and the postpartum recovery phase while breastfeeding. The supplement helps bridge nutritional gaps to ensure both the mother and the developing fetus receive the vitamins and minerals necessary for healthy growth and development. The formulation typically contains high levels of folic acid to help prevent certain birth defects of the brain and spine, along with iron to support blood health and prevent anemia. The addition of omega-3 fatty acids is intended to assist in the development of the fetal brain and eyes. Because it is a prescription-strength product, it often contains higher concentrations of specific nutrients compared to standard over-the-counter options, and it should be used only as directed by a healthcare provider.
