About Uro-MP
What is this medication? Uro-MP is a prescription combination medication primarily used to relieve symptoms associated with irritations of the lower urinary tract. It is frequently prescribed to alleviate discomfort, pain, burning, and the frequent or urgent need to urinate that often accompanies urinary tract infections or diagnostic procedures. This medication does not treat the underlying cause of an infection on its own but is used to manage the distressing physical sensations while other treatments address the root issue.
The drug works through a combination of several active ingredients that serve different functions within the urinary system. It contains an antiseptic component to help inhibit the growth of bacteria, an antispasmodic to relax the muscles of the bladder and reduce cramping, and a mild analgesic to provide pain relief. Because of certain ingredients, it is common for this medication to cause the urine to turn a blue or green color, which is a harmless and expected side effect of the treatment.
