About Jemperli
What is this medication?
Jemperli, which is known by its generic name dostarlimab-gxly, is a prescription immunotherapy medication used to treat specific types of advanced or recurrent cancers. It functions as a programmed death receptor-1 blocking antibody, which helps the body's immune system recognize and destroy cancer cells. This medication is primarily used for adult patients with mismatch repair-deficient recurrent or advanced endometrial cancer that has continued to grow during or after treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy.
Beyond its use in endometrial cancer, Jemperli is also indicated for adults with mismatch repair-deficient recurrent or advanced solid tumors that have progressed after previous treatments and lack other satisfactory options. It is also utilized for certain patients with locally advanced rectal cancer that is mismatch repair-deficient. The drug is administered as an intravenous infusion by a healthcare provider, and diagnostic testing is required beforehand to confirm the presence of specific genetic biomarkers in the tumor.
