About Ocrevus Zunovo

What is this medication? Ocrevus Zunovo is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis, including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease. It is also approved for treating primary progressive multiple sclerosis in adults. The medication consists of ocrelizumab, which targets CD20-positive B cells thought to contribute to nerve damage, and hyaluronidase, an enzyme that allows the drug to be injected and absorbed under the skin.

This formulation is unique because it is administered as a subcutaneous injection rather than a traditional intravenous infusion. It is typically given by a healthcare provider twice a year, and the injection process usually takes about ten minutes to complete. By managing the immune response, Ocrevus Zunovo helps to reduce the rate of clinical relapses and slow the accumulation of physical disability associated with multiple sclerosis.
