About ONAPGO

Onapgo is a prescription medication containing the active ingredient saxagliptin, which belongs to a class of drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. It is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. By inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, Onapgo increases the levels of active incretin hormones, thereby increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner.
