About Para Solve

What is this medication? Albendazole is a prescription anthelmintic medication primarily used to treat various types of parasitic worm infections. It functions by preventing newly hatched insect larvae or worms from growing or multiplying inside the human body. The medication works by interfering with the ability of the parasites to absorb glucose, which ultimately leads to the depletion of their energy reserves and causes them to die. Doctors typically prescribe this treatment for conditions such as neurocysticercosis, which affects the nervous system, and hydatid disease, which affects the liver, lungs, and lining of the abdomen. It is also effective against common intestinal parasites like pinworms, roundworms, and hookworms. Patients are usually advised to take the medication with food to improve absorption, and the total duration of the course depends specifically on the type of infection being treated.
