About PCXX WATERMELON APF G
What is this medication? PCXX Watermelon APF G is a topical fluoride treatment used by dental professionals to help prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel. This medication contains acidulated phosphate fluoride, which works by increasing the resistance of teeth to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. It is primarily prescribed for patients who are at a higher risk of developing cavities or those who need extra protection for their dental health. The gel is formulated with a watermelon flavor to make the application process more pleasant for patients during their dental visit. It is typically applied using a foam tray or a brush and is left on the teeth for a brief period, usually about one minute, to allow the fluoride to be absorbed. After the treatment, patients are usually advised not to eat, drink, or rinse their mouths for thirty minutes to ensure the medication provides the maximum benefit for remineralizing the tooth surfaces.
