About VOQUEZNA DUAL PAK, VOQUEZNA TRIPLE PAK

What is this medication?

Voquezna Dual Pak and Voquezna Triple Pak are combination prescription medications used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in adults. Helicobacter pylori, commonly known as H. pylori, is a type of bacteria that infects the stomach and is a frequent cause of stomach ulcers and chronic inflammation of the stomach lining. These co-packaged treatments are designed to provide a complete course of therapy to eliminate the bacteria and help prevent the recurrence of ulcers.

Both versions of the medication contain vonoprazan, which is a potassium-competitive acid blocker that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. By lowering stomach acid, vonoprazan creates an environment that allows the included antibiotics to work more effectively against the bacteria. The Dual Pak contains vonoprazan and the antibiotic amoxicillin, while the Triple Pak contains vonoprazan along with two antibiotics, amoxicillin and clarithromycin. A healthcare provider determines which pack is appropriate based on the specific needs and antibiotic resistance patterns of the patient.
